We were able to catch the Royals play the Mariners when they were in town at the beginning of the month. Scott and Genine joined us and the Royals killed the Mariners!
The next weekend Anne came out for a long weekend visit-so fun to have her here! It started off a little rough as I had a cold and, with the baby, it caused some side effects that made getting around a bit difficult. We made it into Seattle for lunch at Pike's Place with a great view of the Seattle Great Wheel.
We took the light rail into the city and caught a ferry to Bainbridge Island
We were able to walk around the island, checking out shops and grabbing a lunch at a yummy restaurant right next to the marina. We headed back to Seattle and headed over for a must-see attraction-the Space Needle!
The next day we drove up to Discovery Park and took Della for a swim in the Sound. We made our way to the Ballard Locks and grabbed some good Midwest food at Zayda Buddy's Pizza and Bar-Boulevard Beer on tap even!
Unfortunately, we got news that Mammaw, my dad's mother, had passed away after struggling with pulmonary fibrosis. While I was able to visit with her when I was home for Easter, it was still sudden and somewhat unexpected. We were fortunate enough to be able to make the trip back to Indiana for her funeral.
Even thought it was under sad circumstances we were home, I was able to spend time with my brother before his move and enjoy a little more time with my cousins and their little ones.
Love this kids!
Bon Voyage-wishing you two the best!
Next up, a trip to Louisville for one of my favorite's big wedding day and then full-on baby prep before the nugget arrives. Lots of fun things to look forward to!
