Catch-Up Time!

It's been a while since I posted last-a month! Life has been a bit crazy so here's a little update on what's been going on...

We got our engagement pictures taken! Dan Videtich took time out of his schedule to take our pictures and he did an AMAZING job! We travelled over to Lawrence for some good food and local brews at the delicious Free State Brewery  restaurant.  We worked our way down Mass St. and through campus before heading back to KC for some shots at the famous Nelson Atkins Museum.  Below are some of our favorites.

More wedding fun: Ben and I registered for our wedding at Crate and Barrel and Bed Bath and Beyond-it was a bit overwhelming at times (read: BBB was overwhelming-it's too hard to pick ONE towel type out of 1000!)  After we got a suggested list out, checking things off made it much easier and we ended up having a pretty good time!  A couple weeks later we added Target-well I went back and added it so it may not reflect Ben's choices but we'll update it soon :)

A week later, a good friend from college was in town and we were able to meet up for brunch.  Kara is such a fun person and it was awesome to be able to catch up AND meet her fiance!  Great guy, so happy for her!

We headed to Wichita for a visit with Ben's mom and then made a quick trip to Indiana for Thanksgiving.  We stopped over in Brazil to visit my mom's side of the family.  Visited with aunts, uncles, cousins, Grandma and Grandpa and ate tons of delicious food!  Then we made our way down to Indiana to visit my dad's side of the family.  We met up with some good friends from high school and had a fun night out in Seymour, IN.

I got an opportunity to do some "bridesmaid" activities with Lauren.  Even though I already have my dress, we made a trip up to That Special Touch to try some wedding gowns on.  Terry, our wedding consultant, was awesome!  The shop was great and had LOTS of options and great prices-I definitely recommend it for any bride, bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride, etc.  Some gowns we tried were...

Pretty different than what we tried before but still fun to check out.
