Lately

September was a month that flew by!  Can't believe we're already about halfway through October but we are grateful to have had such a busy, fun-filled fall so far.

For the first two weeks, Ben was on a work trip to Haiti.  Here are some of the pictures he brought back...

A few days after Ben got home, he and I went out for a date night to The Paramount Theatre to see The National.  We got dinner and drinks at The Tap House Grill, a fun restaurant with tons of beers on tap.

Ben's mom, Becky was able to make a trip to visit for about 2 weeks.  She spent some time with Jerry and Sandy and then came and stayed with us for the rest of her visit.  We were so blessed while she was here, helping out with walking the pets, treating us to some yummy dinners and making lots of goodies to enjoy.  We look forward to her next visit!

The Royals were in town playing the Mariners and they were on a hot streak!  Unfortunately they lost the game we went to but we saw lots of Kansas/Kansas City people and had a fun time at the ballpark!

October arrived out of nowhere and we had tickets to a beer-tasting event at the Woodland Park Zoo.  The Young Alums of the Seattle Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta had a block of tickets and so I was able to meet some of the girls that night...fun girls and a fun night!

Last weekend we took a trip down to Tacoma to Point Defiance Park and let Della run around their off-leash dog area as well go for a swim in the Sound.  

We drove back into the city and met up with our friends Nathan and Elizabeth who live in Tacoma.  We grabbed drinks and some grub at Harmon Brewing Co.  

We love getting to spend time with them and their daughter, Paisley who is just TOO cute!

All in all, we've had a great start to fall and look forward to our trip back home for Thanksgiving!
